The Pedagogs have been making refreshingly good educational products since 2005. Inspired by children and their imaginations, The Pedagogs are a group of characters that feature on over 100 products designed to enhance teaching and learning.
The Pedagogs work hard to preserve and develop the self-esteem and personal development of young children. Our products communicate clearly to children about their achievements. The Pedagogs encourage good practice through positive reinforcement and specific child-centred language.
The Pedagogs was co-founded by Caroline Allams and developed as a result of her classroom practice. When a child had achieved something in class, Caroline wanted her children to share it with their world and would tape a sheet of A4 paper with a drawing of that child hurriedly sketched as a character of their choice, and a bold statement such as ‘I used full stops today!’ The idea was that parents would cheer when they saw it, reinforcing what they had done so that the likelihood of it happening again the next day increased.
Nowadays, the team at The Pedagogs are passionate about creating valuable, educational materials for teachers. We want children to skip in and out of school bursting with pride about their achievements. We hope to be adorning classroom walls and children’s school jumpers for many years to come.
At the same time, The Pedagogs will be launching an exciting new digital platform that aims to provide children with an age-appropriate communication and portfolio tool, natterbook. Through this platform, natterbook will carefully guide children to make the right choices when creating their own digital footprint.
The Pedagogs have grown organically over the last ten years and now supply to around 50% of all the primary schools in UK and to schools in over 45 countries around the world. We hope that you and your children enjoy our products as much as we enjoy making them for you.
